Lawrence Einhorn developed the cisplatin based BEP regimen that transformed metastatic testicular germ cell tumor from a lethal disease into a highly curable cancer. His work in the 1970s established cisplatin combination chemotherapy and remains the foundation of modern testicular cancer care. He has trained generations of genitourinary oncologists and continues clinical research on salvage therapy.
