👥Biography 个人简介

Donald Ingber pioneered organ-on-chip technology, developing microfluidic devices that recapitulate the microarchitecture, mechanical forces, and physiological functions of human organs on transparent chips. His lung-on-chip, which replicates breathing motions and air-liquid interfaces, has been adapted for modeling lung cancer invasion, immune cell recruitment, and drug delivery. He has developed multi-organ body-on-chip systems that model cancer metastasis and systemic drug pharmacokinetics across connected organ compartments. His work on mechanobiology has revealed how physical forces in the tumor microenvironment influence cancer cell behavior, invasion, and drug resistance.
