Dominique Elias

Dominique Elias is the pioneer of peritoneal surface oncology in France and one of Europe's most experienced HIPEC surgeons. His prospective studies at Gustave Roussy helped establish that colorectal peritoneal metastases could be cured with cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC in selected patients. He has published landmark papers comparing HIPEC to systemic chemotherapy and defining prognostic factors for patient selection. His longstanding contributions have shaped the European evidence base and clinical practice guidelines.
