Vincent DeVita developed MOPP combination chemotherapy that produced the first cures of advanced Hodgkin lymphoma and went on to serve as Director of the National Cancer Institute and Physician-in-Chief at Memorial Sloan Kettering. His leadership during the War on Cancer era shaped modern oncology infrastructure. He is one of the most influential oncology leaders of the twentieth century.
