Dennis Lo discovered circulating fetal DNA in maternal plasma and extended plasma DNA analysis to methylation-based cancer detection. His EBV DNA screening for nasopharyngeal cancer is a landmark early detection trial. He leads the Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences at CUHK.
