👥Biography 个人简介

David Sidransky is a cancer genetics pioneer who was among the first to apply molecular analysis to cancer detection and clinical management. His work demonstrated that TP53 mutations could be detected in voided urine of bladder cancer patients and in serum, establishing early proof-of-concept for liquid biopsy approaches now widely pursued. He systematically characterized TP53 mutations in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and identified molecular markers of surgical margins and recurrence risk. His translational contributions spanned multiple cancer types and initiated a movement toward molecular monitoring.
