David Matei is a translational gynecologic oncologist whose research bridges endometrial cancer biology with novel therapeutic strategies. His work has addressed DNA repair deficiencies, epigenetic reprogramming by hypomethylating agents to enhance platinum sensitivity, and the role of HER2 in uterine serous carcinoma. He has led clinical trials investigating trastuzumab in HER2-amplified endometrial serous cancer and evaluated PARP inhibitor combinations. His basic and translational research program has identified novel molecular targets in endometrial cancer.
