David Ilson at Memorial Sloan Kettering is a leading expert in esophageal and gastroesophageal junction cancer with decades of contributions to chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy trials. He contributed to establishing the CROSS protocol (carboplatin/paclitaxel + radiation) as a standard neoadjuvant approach and has been central to HER2-targeted and immunotherapy clinical trials in this disease. He is a primary author on multiple ASCO and NCCN guideline updates.
