David Cahill is a neurosurgeon-scientist focused on IDH-mutant diffuse gliomas. His laboratory studies the oncogenic mechanisms of IDH mutations including 2-hydroxyglutarate production and its effects on epigenetic reprogramming. He has conducted early-phase trials of IDH inhibitors in recurrent IDH-mutant glioma and contributed to understanding the natural history of transformation from low-grade to high-grade IDH-mutant glioma.
