David Bhatt

David Bhatt has been at the forefront of implementing ctDNA-based companion diagnostics in lung cancer clinical practice. His research validated plasma ctDNA genotyping as an alternative to tumor biopsy for detecting targetable mutations including EGFR, ALK, and resistance mutations. He demonstrated that plasma EGFR T790M detection can identify patients who benefit from osimertinib with concordance comparable to tissue testing. His real-world implementation studies have characterized the performance and clinical utility of ctDNA genotyping across diverse lung cancer treatment settings.
