David Bhatt

David Bhatt directs the interventional oncology program at Johns Hopkins, specializing in image-guided tumor ablation and locoregional therapies for liver, kidney, and lung cancers. His research has advanced irreversible electroporation (IRE) as a non-thermal ablation modality for tumors adjacent to critical structures. He has developed combination approaches incorporating ablation with immunotherapy to generate abscopal immune responses. His clinical trials program has established new evidence for IR-based oncology interventions.
