David Baker

David Baker is a Nobel Prize-winning biochemist whose laboratory pioneered computational protein design and developed RoseTTAFold, one of the transformative tools for protein structure prediction. His work on de novo protein design has enabled creation of novel enzymes, vaccines, and therapeutic proteins with unprecedented precision. In cancer applications his group has designed novel binding proteins targeting oncoproteins and developed computationally optimized therapeutic antibodies. His Institute for Protein Design drives the application of AI to create new molecular tools and cancer therapeutics.
