Diwakar Davar has conducted groundbreaking clinical trials combining intratumoral immune agonists with microbiome-based therapies to overcome checkpoint inhibitor resistance. His work on fecal microbiota transplant plus anti-PD-1 demonstrated that microbiome modulation can restore immunotherapy sensitivity. He has advanced intratumoral SD-101 (CpG TLR9 agonist) clinical trials in combination with systemic immunotherapy.
