Dario Baratti is a surgical oncologist who has contributed extensively to the clinical management of pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), publishing outcomes from one of Europe's largest CRS-HIPEC series for PMP. He has helped validate the PSOGI (Peritoneal Surface Oncology Group International) consensus classification of PMP into low-grade mucinous carcinoma peritonei, high-grade mucinous carcinoma peritonei, and signet ring cell variants, each with distinct prognosis after CRS-HIPEC. He has also studied systemic chemotherapy regimens for recurrent or unresectable PMP.
