Dr. Daniel Nomura is a chemical biologist at UC Berkeley who develops covalent chemical probe strategies to identify and validate druggable cancer targets. His group pioneered activity-based protein profiling (ABPP) applied to cancer metabolic enzymes and has discovered numerous novel cysteine-reactive drug targets using electrophilic fragment libraries. His work integrates chemical proteomics with structure-based design to develop new classes of covalent cancer drugs.
