Daniel Bhatt has led major genomic characterization efforts of colorectal cancer, including The Cancer Genome Atlas CRC analysis. His research helped define the molecular subtypes of colorectal cancer including the consensus molecular subtypes and their clinical relevance. He has characterized the co-mutation landscapes of KRAS, BRAF, and other colorectal cancer drivers and their therapeutic implications. His translational work on CMS subtypes has advanced personalized treatment approaches for colorectal cancer.
