👥Biography 个人简介

Daniel Bhatt studies polycomb repressive complexes as oncogenic epigenetic regulators that silence tumor suppressor genes in cancer. His research characterized how EZH2 gain-of-function mutations in B cell lymphomas cause aberrant H3K27 methylation and gene silencing. He demonstrated that PRC2 and polycomb mark spreading drive epigenetic silencing of differentiation programs in multiple cancer types. His work directly enabled the development of EZH2 inhibitors including tazemetostat for follicular lymphoma and epithelioid sarcoma.
