👥Biography 个人简介

Daniel Bhatt has contributed to the debate over body-surface-area-based versus alternative dosing strategies in oncology, demonstrating through pharmacokinetic analyses that BSA-based dosing of cytotoxic chemotherapy does not meaningfully reduce interpatient pharmacokinetic variability compared to flat dosing for many agents. His research showed that body composition, particularly lean body mass and fat distribution, are better predictors of drug clearance than BSA for many cancer drugs. He established evidence-based guidelines for dose adjustment in obese cancer patients, addressing the clinical uncertainty around dose capping. His work has informed rational dosing strategies that move beyond the tradition of BSA-based calculation.
