Stanley Crooke founded Ionis Pharmaceuticals (formerly Isis) and pioneered antisense oligonucleotide therapeutics, an RNA-targeted modality that complements siRNA. His work has enabled multiple approved ASO drugs and oncology applications. He founded the n-Lorem Foundation to provide ASOs for ultra-rare disease patients.
