👥Biography 个人简介

Craig Thompson at Memorial Sloan Kettering is a pioneer in cancer metabolism research who has contributed fundamental insights into how oncogenic signals rewire cellular metabolism to support proliferation. His research demonstrated that growth factor receptor signaling through PI3K/Akt drives glucose uptake and utilization independently of oxygen levels, contributing to the Warburg effect at a molecular level. His laboratory discovered the role of citrate export and lipid synthesis in rapidly proliferating cells and contributed to metabolic checkpoints in cancer. His leadership at MSK has fostered one of the world's premier cancer metabolism research environments.
