Craig Nichols

Craig Nichols has been a pioneering force in testicular cancer research alongside Lawrence Einhorn, developing salvage treatment strategies for patients who fail first-line BEP chemotherapy. He established high-dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell rescue as a potentially curative salvage approach for relapsed germ cell tumors. His research defined prognostic factors for relapsed testicular cancer and optimized patient selection for high-dose salvage therapy. He has led international cooperative group trials that established modern standards of care for managing both favorable and unfavorable-risk germ cell tumors.
