Claudia Henschke founded the International Early Lung Cancer Action Program (I-ELCAP) that demonstrated high cure rates with CT-detected stage I lung cancer. She helped establish protocols for nodule management in LDCT screening. She is a leading advocate for universal screening eligibility expansion. She directs Mount Sinai's thoracic screening research.
