Menna Clatworthy

Menna Clatworthy has built single-cell atlases of kidney cancer that revealed the full spectrum of tumor-infiltrating immune cells and their spatial organization, identifying tertiary lymphoid structures as critical determinants of immunotherapy response. Her work on B cell populations in the tumor microenvironment has challenged the T cell-centric view of cancer immunity by demonstrating important roles for tumor-infiltrating B cells and plasma cells. Her spatial immune profiling approaches have mapped the geographic distribution of immune cell states within tumors.
