Claire Harrison is the UK's leading authority on myeloproliferative neoplasms who has made landmark contributions to understanding polycythemia vera and myelofibrosis management. She led pivotal trials of interferon-alpha in MPN and ruxolitinib in polycythemia vera (RESPONSE trial), expanding the indication for JAK inhibition. Her research has characterized calreticulin mutations as key molecular drivers of MPL-negative MPNs. She is co-chair of the UK MRC Haematology Working Party and leads multiple active clinical studies in MPN.
