Christos Sotiriou is a preeminent breast cancer translational researcher who has investigated the molecular landscape of HER2-low tumors, including gene expression profiling to understand whether HER2-low constitutes a biologically distinct entity. His group has analyzed intrinsic subtypes within HER2-low cancers and explored how luminal B and triple-negative HER2-low cancers differ in their biology and T-DXd response. He is a founding figure in transcriptomic profiling of breast cancer and leads the TRANSBIG research consortium.
