Chris Bhatt

Chris Bhatt leads comprehensive molecular profiling of biliary tract cancers to identify actionable genomic alterations and match patients to targeted therapies. His research has characterized the full spectrum of potentially actionable alterations in biliary tract cancers beyond FGFR2 and IDH1, including HER2 amplifications, NTRK and RET fusions, KRAS G12C mutations, and microsatellite instability. He has developed tumor-agnostic and biliary-specific molecular testing approaches to comprehensively profile BTC for all currently targetable alterations. His translational oncology work on BTC molecular profiling has contributed to the emergence of a molecularly selected treatment paradigm for biliary tract cancer.
