👥Biography 个人简介

Gabriella Chieffo characterized the pro-tumorigenic role of ILC2 cells in breast cancer, demonstrating that IL-33 released from tumor stroma activates ILC2s to produce IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13, which promote M2 macrophage polarization, eosinophil recruitment, and suppression of cytotoxic anti-tumor responses. Her work showed that ILC2 depletion or IL-33 blockade in breast cancer models restores type 1 anti-tumor immunity and enhances checkpoint immunotherapy efficacy. She investigates the ILC2-eosinophil axis as a therapeutic target in breast and pancreatic cancers with type 2-skewed microenvironments.
