👥Biography 个人简介

Chi Van Dang at the Wistar Institute is a leading cancer metabolism researcher who has contributed substantially to understanding how MYC oncogene drives metabolic reprogramming including the Warburg effect in cancer. His research demonstrated that MYC directly activates genes controlling aerobic glycolysis and glutamine metabolism, providing the transcriptional mechanism linking oncogene activation to metabolic reprogramming. He has contributed to defining lactate's emerging roles as a metabolic signaling molecule beyond its role as a metabolic endpoint. His comprehensive work on MYC and the Warburg effect has shaped understanding of the metabolic hallmarks of cancer.
