👥Biography 个人简介

Chetan Bettegowda has made foundational contributions to understanding the limits of ctDNA detection across cancer types, establishing the biological basis for MCED test performance, and developing health economic models for evaluating the cost-effectiveness of adding MCED screening to population health programs. His early work demonstrating that ctDNA is detectable in most advanced cancers but in only a fraction of early-stage cancers defined the sensitivity challenge for MCED. He has modeled the downstream healthcare costs of MCED screening including diagnostic workup, treatment, and false positive management. His cost-effectiveness analyses are informing insurance coverage and public health policy decisions for MCED implementation.
