👥Biography 个人简介

Triantafyllos Chavakis demonstrated that trained immunity fundamentally alters hematopoietic output by reprogramming bone marrow stromal niches and myeloid-biased hematopoietic stem cells, leading to sustained production of inflammatory monocytes and granulocytes with enhanced anti-tumor effector functions. His work on the bone marrow microenvironmental changes during trained immunity revealed IL-1beta-dependent rewiring of mesenchymal stromal cell support for myelopoiesis. He investigates how hematopoietic stem cell epigenetic memory induced by trained immunity influences the quality and quantity of tumor-infiltrating myeloid cells.
