Jonathan Celli has developed three-dimensional tumor models and advanced dosimetry methods to optimize photodynamic therapy delivery parameters for maximum tumor destruction with minimal normal tissue damage. His biophysical studies of photosensitizer distribution and light fluence in complex tissue geometries have improved clinical PDT planning for pancreatic and other solid tumors. He combines optical physics expertise with cancer biology to advance PDT from empirical to precision-guided treatment.
