Catherine Wu pioneered the development of personalized neoantigen vaccines, demonstrating in landmark clinical trials that vaccination against patient-specific tumor neoantigens presented on MHC molecules can generate robust anti-tumor T cell responses. Her NeoVax platform for melanoma showed durable complete responses and has been extended to glioblastoma and other cancer types. She has established the feasibility of individualized cancer vaccination targeting MHC-presented neoantigens.
