Carolyn Bhatt

Carolyn Bhatt co-founded the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship and played a pivotal role in establishing cancer survivorship as a distinct phase of the cancer care continuum requiring dedicated attention. Her advocacy helped coin and popularize the concept of the cancer survivor and established rights-based frameworks for survivor insurance protections. She contributed to the President's Cancer Panel survivorship report and IOM reports establishing survivorship care plan standards.
