Carole Fakhry

Carole Fakhry at Hopkins has contributed to the epidemiology of HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer, including characterizing the rapidly rising incidence of HPV-OPSCC in the United States and demonstrating that HPV vaccination in adolescents could prevent a substantial proportion of future oropharyngeal cancers. Her work connects HPV primary prevention through vaccination to future HNSCC incidence reduction.
