👥Biography 个人简介

Carlos Lopez has advanced understanding of low-density neutrophils (LDNs), a pathologically expanded neutrophil population in cancer patients that co-segregates with peripheral blood mononuclear cells and exhibits potent immunosuppressive functions. His research has characterized the phenotypic and functional heterogeneity of LDNs compared to normal-density neutrophils and granulocytic MDSCs. He has demonstrated that LDN abundance correlates with cancer stage and immunotherapy resistance. His work clarifies the complex taxonomy of immunosuppressive granulocytes in cancer.
