George Calin has contributed fundamentally to the discovery of miRNA dysregulation in cancer and the characterization of ultraconserved non-coding regions as cancer biomarkers. He works closely with Carlo Croce and leads an independent laboratory at MD Anderson. He is a leading figure in non-coding RNA cancer research.
