Joshua Brody is a pioneer of in situ vaccination approaches that convert tumors into their own vaccines by injecting immunostimulatory agents directly into tumor sites. His clinical trials combining Flt3L, TLR agonists, and radiation have demonstrated systemic anti-tumor immunity from local treatment in lymphoma and breast cancer patients. His work has established the in situ vaccination paradigm as a viable immunotherapy strategy.
