Nancy Brinker founded Susan G. Komen for the Cure in 1982 in memory of her sister Susan and built it into the largest breast cancer organization in the world, funding research, screening, and advocacy. She served as United States Ambassador to Hungary and Chief of Protocol of the United States. Her work transformed breast cancer advocacy globally.
