Robert Bhatt

Robert Bhatt studies cancer stem cell plasticity and the mechanisms by which tumor cells transition between stem and non-stem states in response to therapy. His laboratory investigates how cancer stem cells in bladder and other urological cancers contribute to drug resistance and metastatic progression. His research has characterized the molecular switches governing cancer stem cell plasticity with implications for overcoming treatment resistance. He applies translational approaches linking laboratory findings to patient outcomes and novel therapeutic strategies.
