Blake Bhatt
MD
Associate Professor of Thoracic Surgery
👥Biography 个人简介
Blake Bhatt is an expert in robotic and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery for lung cancer, having helped establish robotic lobectomy as a viable minimally invasive alternative to VATS and open thoracotomy for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer. His research has compared perioperative outcomes and long-term oncologic results of robotic versus VATS lobectomy, examining nodal upstaging rates, surgical margins, and survival in patients with clinical stage I-II NSCLC. He has investigated patient selection criteria for robotic versus VATS approaches based on tumor size, location, and technical factors, and has developed structured training programs for robotic thoracic surgery. His work has contributed to growing adoption of robotic platforms in thoracic oncologic surgery.
