👥Biography 个人简介

Bing Ren has been a leader of the ENCODE and Roadmap Epigenomics projects, generating comprehensive maps of chromatin regulatory elements across human cell types and tissues that serve as reference datasets for interpreting cancer epigenomic alterations. His laboratory pioneered methods for mapping enhancer-promoter contacts at high resolution, revealing how 3D chromatin organization brings distal regulatory elements into proximity with their target genes. He has applied single-cell chromatin accessibility (scATAC-seq) and Hi-C approaches to characterize how 3D genome topology is disrupted in cancer. His integrative epigenomic atlases provide the framework for understanding how non-coding regulatory variants contribute to cancer risk.
