Bharat Bhatt investigates the roles of NOTCH signaling in breast cancer progression and cancer stem cell maintenance. His research has characterized how NOTCH pathway activation confers stem-like properties and treatment resistance in triple-negative breast cancer. He has examined NOTCH ligand-receptor interactions in the tumor microenvironment that promote tumor progression and immune evasion. His translational work has evaluated gamma-secretase inhibitor combinations and NOTCH ligand-blocking antibodies in preclinical breast cancer models.
