👥Biography 个人简介

Bert Vogelstein is the most cited cancer researcher in history, having established the genetic model of colorectal cancer progression, discovered p53 mutations as the most common genetic alteration in human cancer, and defined the mutational landscapes of multiple cancer types through systematic sequencing. His laboratory published the first comprehensive sequencing studies of breast and colorectal cancer genomes, identifying the distinction between driver and passenger mutations. He developed CancerSEEK, a multi-analyte blood test for early cancer detection using ctDNA and protein biomarkers. His contributions span the entire arc of cancer genomics from gene discovery to clinical application.
