Bernd Kasper

Bernd Kasper at Mannheim University Medical Centre is a European leader in desmoid tumor management, a rare fibromatosis that can be locally destructive but does not metastasize. He led the DeFi trial demonstrating nirogacestat (gamma-secretase inhibitor) as the first approved therapy for desmoid tumors, and has been central to developing evidence-based treatment algorithms for this orphan disease through the European Desmoid Working Group.
