Barbara Jarzab is a leading European researcher in the molecular biology and clinical management of thyroid cancer, based at Poland's premier cancer institute. She has pioneered the use of gene expression profiling for thyroid cancer diagnosis and prognostication. Her laboratory has characterized molecular subtypes relevant to RAI-refractoriness and therapeutic targeting. She has led multiple European multicenter trials addressing systemic therapy selection in advanced differentiated thyroid cancer.
