Spyridon Bakas

Spyridon Bakas leads the Federated Tumor Segmentation (FeTS) initiative, the largest federated learning study in oncology with over 70 institutions worldwide. His work has demonstrated that federated models for glioblastoma segmentation achieve performance comparable to centrally trained models while preserving patient privacy. He has established open-source frameworks that enable privacy-preserving multi-institutional AI collaboration.
