Dr. Arti Hurria was the founder of the Cancer and Aging Research Group and a defining voice in geriatric oncology who passed away in 2018. She developed the CARG chemotherapy toxicity prediction tool, validated in prospective trials, which helps predict severe toxicity risk in older cancer patients before treatment initiation. Her legacy continues through the Cancer and Aging Research Group, which she established to advance science and advocacy for older adults with cancer.
