👥Biography 个人简介

Arnold Levine co-discovered the p53 protein in 1979 along with David Lane and Lionel Crawford, launching one of the most productive fields in cancer research. His subsequent work established p53 as a tumor suppressor and revealed its multifaceted roles in cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, DNA repair, and metabolism. He pioneered systems-level approaches to understand the p53 regulatory network and its context-dependent outputs. His contributions to cancer biology span four decades and have earned him the highest scientific honors.
