Athanassios Argiris has led multiple cooperative group trials in HPV-negative head and neck cancer through ECOG-ACRIN. His research focuses on novel targeted therapy and immunotherapy combinations for this poor-prognosis patient population. He has contributed to understanding the molecular basis of HPV-negative HNSCC treatment resistance.
