Arash Alizadeh

Arash Alizadeh at Stanford developed CAPP-Seq alongside Maximilian Diehn and applied it extensively to lymphoma ctDNA monitoring. His research demonstrating that ctDNA kinetics during treatment predict outcomes in DLBCL and other lymphomas, and his work on ibrutinib resistance mutation detection from ctDNA in CLL, have established ctDNA as a powerful monitoring tool in hematologic malignancies. His commercialization of clonoSEQ for MRD detection in blood cancers represents a successful liquid biopsy clinical translation.
